You dont know what a Wiki is?
A Wiki is a website that allows the visitors themselves to easily add, remove, and otherwise edit and change available content, typically without the need for registration. This ease of interaction and operation makes a wiki an effective tool for mass collaborative authoring.
What is Backcountry Agenda doing with a Wiki?
There are lots of great topics being discussed in the Backcountry Agenda forums, although as time passes and some of the real gems are lost in the archives of the site's database. If you were looking for a specific piece of information it would take some excessive searching. If there becomes such a thread or topic in which it's information can be useful to others, such as safety, technique, hiking routes, and maps then a user can take it upon his or herself to start a page for that topic in the Backcountry Agenda Wiki. Each user can change the original creator's page for improvment's sake, or simply add to the already useful information.
How can you help?
I personally ask you for your help, as I think this can become a valuable resource of information. The idea of a free flowing, dynamic Wiki, where every user is in control is unique in its purpose, which is to be a growing valuable source of outdoor sport information.
